الْحَمْدُ

لِلَّهِ
ﯝ
الَّذِي
ﯞ
أَنْزَلَ
ﯟ
عَلَىٰ
ﯠ
عَبْدِهِ
ﯡ
الْكِتَابَ
ﯢ
وَلَمْ
ﯣ
يَجْعَلْ
ﯤ
لَهُ
ﯥ
عِوَجًا
ﯦ
ﯧ
Dr. Mustafa Khattab
All praise is for Allah Who has revealed the Book to His servant,1 allowing no crookedness in it,
ﯨ
قَيِّمًا
ﯩ
لِيُنْذِرَ
ﯪ
بَأْسًا
ﯫ
شَدِيدًا
ﯬ
مِنْ
ﯭ
لَدُنْهُ
ﯮ
وَيُبَشِّرَ
ﯯ
الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
ﯰ
الَّذِينَ
ﯱ
يَعْمَلُونَ
ﯲ
الصَّالِحَاتِ
ﯳ
أَنَّ
ﯴ
لَهُمْ
ﯵ
أَجْرًا
ﯶ
حَسَنًا
ﯷ
Dr. Mustafa Khattab
˹making it˺ perfectly upright, to warn ˹the disbelievers˺ of a severe torment from Him; to give good news to the believers—who do good—that they will have a fine reward,

وَيُنْذِرَ
ﯽ
الَّذِينَ
ﯾ
قَالُوا
ﯿ
اتَّخَذَ
ﰀ
اللَّهُ
ﰁ
وَلَدًا
ﰂ
Dr. Mustafa Khattab
and to warn those who claim, “Allah has offspring.”1
ﭑ
مَا
ﭒ
لَهُمْ
ﭓ
بِهِ
ﭔ
مِنْ
ﭕ
عِلْمٍ
ﭖ
وَلَا
ﭗ
لِآبَائِهِمْ
ﭘ
ﭙ
كَبُرَتْ
ﭚ
كَلِمَةً
ﭛ
تَخْرُجُ
ﭜ
مِنْ
ﭝ
أَفْوَاهِهِمْ
ﭞ
ﭟ
إِنْ
ﭠ
يَقُولُونَ
ﭡ
إِلَّا
ﭢ
كَذِبًا
ﭣ
Dr. Mustafa Khattab
They have no knowledge of this, nor did their forefathers. What a terrible claim that comes out of their mouths! They say nothing but lies.

فَلَعَلَّكَ
ﭥ
بَاخِعٌ
ﭦ
نَفْسَكَ
ﭧ
عَلَىٰ
ﭨ
آثَارِهِمْ
ﭩ
إِنْ
ﭪ
لَمْ
ﭫ
يُؤْمِنُوا
ﭬ
بِهَٰذَا
ﭭ
الْحَدِيثِ
ﭮ
أَسَفًا
ﭯ
Dr. Mustafa Khattab
Now, perhaps you ˹O Prophet˺ will grieve yourself to death over their denial, if they ˹continue to˺ disbelieve in this message.
ﭰ
إِنَّا
ﭱ
جَعَلْنَا
ﭲ
مَا
ﭳ
عَلَى
ﭴ
الْأَرْضِ
ﭵ
زِينَةً
ﭶ
لَهَا
ﭷ
لِنَبْلُوَهُمْ
ﭸ
أَيُّهُمْ
ﭹ
أَحْسَنُ
ﭺ
عَمَلًا
ﭻ
Dr. Mustafa Khattab
We have indeed made whatever is on earth as an adornment for it, in order to test which of them is best in deeds.
ﭼ
وَإِنَّا
ﭽ
لَجَاعِلُونَ
ﭾ
مَا
ﭿ
عَلَيْهَا
ﮀ
صَعِيدًا
ﮁ
جُرُزًا
ﮂ

And We will certainly reduce whatever is on it to barren ground.

أَمْ

حَسِبْتَ
ﮅ
أَنَّ
ﮆ
أَصْحَابَ
ﮇ
الْكَهْفِ
ﮈ
وَالرَّقِيمِ
ﮉ
كَانُوا
ﮊ
مِنْ
ﮋ
آيَاتِنَا
ﮌ
عَجَبًا
ﮍ
Dr. Mustafa Khattab
Have you ˹O Prophet˺ thought that the people of the cave and the plaque1 were ˹the only˺ wonders of Our signs?

إِذْ
ﮏ
أَوَى
ﮐ
الْفِتْيَةُ
ﮑ
إِلَى
ﮒ
الْكَهْفِ
ﮓ
فَقَالُوا
ﮔ
رَبَّنَا
ﮕ
آتِنَا
ﮖ
مِنْ
ﮗ
لَدُنْكَ
ﮘ
رَحْمَةً
ﮙ
وَهَيِّئْ
ﮚ
لَنَا
ﮛ
مِنْ
ﮜ
أَمْرِنَا
ﮝ
رَشَدًا
ﮞ
Dr. Mustafa Khattab
˹Remember˺ when those youths took refuge in the cave, and said, “Our Lord! Grant us mercy from Yourself and guide us rightly through our ordeal.”

فَضَرَبْنَا
ﮠ
عَلَىٰ
ﮡ
آذَانِهِمْ
ﮢ
فِي
ﮣ
الْكَهْفِ
ﮤ
سِنِينَ
ﮥ
عَدَدًا
ﮦ
Dr. Mustafa Khattab
So We caused them to fall into a dead sleep1 in the cave for many years,
