    Transliteration

    itha zulzilati alardu zilzalaha

    Yusuf Ali

    When the earth is shaken to her (utmost) convulsion,

    Saheeh International

    When the earth is shaken with its [final] earthquake

    Shakir

    When the earth is shaken with her (violent) shaking,

    Daryabadi

    When the earth is shaken by the shaking thereof,

    Wahiduddin Khan

    When the earth is shaken with its violent shaking,

    • ﭮ ﭯ ﭰﭱ

    Transliteration

    waakhrajati alardu athqalaha

    Yusuf Ali

    And the earth throws up her burdens (from within),

    Saheeh International

    And the earth discharges its burdens

    Shakir

    And the earth brings forth her burdens,

    Daryabadi

    And the earth bringeth forth her burthens,

    Wahiduddin Khan

    when the earth shakes off her burdens,

    • ﭲ ﭳ ﭴ ﭵﭶ

    Transliteration

    waqala alinsanu ma laha

    Yusuf Ali

    And man cries (distressed): 'What is the matter with her?'-

    Saheeh International

    And man says, "What is [wrong] with it?" -

    Shakir

    And man says: What has befallen her?

    Daryabadi

    And man saith: what aileth her?

    Wahiduddin Khan

    when man asks, ‘What is happening to her?’;

    • ﭷ ﭸ ﭹﭺ

    Transliteration

    yawmaithin tuhaddithu akhbaraha

    Yusuf Ali

    On that Day will she declare her tidings:

    Saheeh International

    That Day, it will report its news

    Shakir

    On that day she shall tell her news,

    Daryabadi

    On that Day she will tell out the tidings thereof.

    Wahiduddin Khan

    on that Day it will narrate its account,

    • ﭻ ﭼ ﭽ ﭾﭿ

    Transliteration

    bianna rabbaka awha laha

    Yusuf Ali

    For that thy Lord will have given her inspiration.

    Saheeh International

    Because your Lord has commanded it.

    Shakir

    Because your Lord had inspired her.

    Daryabadi

    Because thy Lord will inspire her.

    Wahiduddin Khan

    for your Lord has so directed it.

    • ﮀ ﮁ ﮂ ﮃ ﮄ ﮅﮆ

    Transliteration

    yawmaithin yasduru alnnasu ashtatan liyuraw aAAmalahum

    Yusuf Ali

    On that Day will men proceed in companies sorted out, to be shown the deeds that they (had done).

    Saheeh International

    That Day, the people will depart separated [into categories] to be shown [the result of] their deeds.

    Shakir

    On that day men shall come forth in sundry bodies that they may be shown their works.

    Daryabadi

    On that Day mankind will proceed in bands, that they may be shewn their works.

    Wahiduddin Khan

    On that Day people will come forward in separate groups to be shown their deeds:

    • ﮇ ﮈ ﮉ ﮊ ﮋ ﮌﮍ

    Transliteration

    faman yaAAmal mithqala tharratin khayran yarahu

    Yusuf Ali

    Then shall anyone who has done an atom's weight of good, see it!

    Saheeh International

    So whoever does an atom's weight of good will see it,

    Shakir

    So. he who has done an atom's weight of good shall see it

    Daryabadi

    Then whosoever hath worked good of an atom's weight shall behold it

    Wahiduddin Khan

    whoever has done the smallest particle of good will see it;

    • ﮎ ﮏ ﮐ ﮑ ﮒ ﮓﮔ

    Transliteration

    waman yaAAmal mithqala tharratin sharran yarahu

    Yusuf Ali

    And anyone who has done an atom's weight of evil, shall see it.

    Saheeh International

    And whoever does an atom's weight of evil will see it.

    Shakir

    And he who has done an atom's weight of evil shall see it.

    Daryabadi

    And whosoever hath worked ill Of an atom's weight shall behold it.

    Wahiduddin Khan

    while whoever has done the smallest particle of evil will see it.
