And in the creation of yourselves and the fact that animals are scattered (through the earth), are Signs for those of assured Faith. |

And in the creation of yourselves and what He disperses of moving creatures are signs for people who are certain [in faith]. |

And in your (own) creation and in what He spreads abroad of animals there are signs for a people that are sure; |

And in the creation of yourselves and of the beasts that He hath scattered over the earth, are signs Unto a people who are convinced. |

And in the alternation of Night and Day, and the fact that Allah sends down Sustenance from the sky, and revives therewith the earth after its death, and in the change of the winds,- are Signs for those that are wise. |

And [in] the alternation of night and day and [in] what Allah sends down from the sky of provision and gives life thereby to the earth after its lifelessness and [in His] directing of the winds are signs for a people who reason. |

And (in) the variation of the night and the day, and (in) what Allah sends down of sustenance from the cloud, then gives life thereby to the earth after its death, and (in) the changing of the winds, there are signs for a people who understand. |

And in the alternation of night and day and that which Allah sendeth down of provision from the heaven and thereby quickeneth the earth after the death thereof and the turning about of the winds, are signs Unto a people who reflect. |

These are the communications of Allah which We recite to you with truth; then in what announcement would they believe after Allah and His communications? |

He hears the Signs of Allah rehearsed to him, yet is obstinate and lofty, as if he had not heard them: then announce to him a Penalty Grievous! |

Who hears the verses of Allah recited to him, then persists arrogantly as if he had not heard them. So give him tidings of a painful punishment. |

Who hears the communications of Allah recited to him, then persists proudly as though he had not heard them; so announce to him a painful punishment. |

Who heareth the revelations of Allah rehearsed Unto him, and yet persisteth with stiff-neckedness as though he heard them not. Announce thou Unto him, then, a torment afflictive. |

He hears God’s revelations being recited to him, yet persists in his arrogance as if he had never heard them. Forewarn him of a painful punishment. |

And when he learns something of Our Signs, he takes them in jest: for such there will be a humiliating Penalty. |

And when he knows anything of Our verses, he takes them in ridicule. Those will have a humiliating punishment. |

And when he comes to know of any of Our communications, he takes it for a jest; these it is that shall have abasing chastisement. |

And when he cometh to know aught of Our revelations, he taketh it scoffingly. These! theirs shall be a torment ignominous; |

In front of them is Hell: and of no profit to them is anything they may have earned, nor any protectors they may have taken to themselves besides Allah: for them is a tremendous Penalty. |

Before them is Hell, and what they had earned will not avail them at all nor what they had taken besides Allah as allies. And they will have a great punishment. |

Before them is hell, and there shall not avail them aught of what they earned, nor those whom they took for guardians besides Allah, and they shall have a grievous punishment. |

Before them is Hell; naught will avail them of that which they earned, nor those whom they took for patrons beside Allah. Theirs shall be a torment mighty. |

This is (true) Guidance and for those who reject the Signs of their Lord, is a grievous Penalty of abomination. |

This [Qur'an] is guidance. And those who have disbelieved in the verses of their Lord will have a painful punishment of foul nature. |

This is guidance; and (as for) those who disbelieve in the communications of their Lord, they shall have a painful punishment on account of uncleanness. |

This Book is guidance, and those who disbelieve in the revelations of their Lord, theirs shall be torment of calamity, afflictive. |

Such is Our guidance; those who reject their Lord’s revelations shall suffer a woeful punishment. |

It is Allah Who has subjected the sea to you, that ships may sail through it by His command, that ye may seek of his Bounty, and that ye may be grateful. |

It is Allah who subjected to you the sea so that ships may sail upon it by His command and that you may seek of His bounty; and perhaps you will be grateful. |

Allah is He Who made subservient to you the sea that the ships may run therein by His command, and that you may seek of His grace, and that you may give thanks. |

Allah it is Who hath subjected the sea for your sake, that the ships may run thereon by His command and that ye may seek of His grace, and that haply ye may return thanks. |

It is God who has subjected the sea to you so that you may sail thereon by His command, and so that you may seek His bounty, and so that you may be grateful. |

And He has subjected to you, as from Him, all that is in the heavens and on earth: Behold, in that are Signs indeed for those who reflect. |

And He has subjected to you whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth - all from Him. Indeed in that are signs for a people who give thought. |

Tell those who believe, to forgive those who do not look forward to the Days of Allah: It is for Him to recompense (for good or ill) each People according to what they have earned. |

Say, [O Muhammad], to those who have believed that they [should] forgive those who expect not the days of Allah so that He may recompense a people for what they used to earn. |

Say to those who believe (that) they forgive those who do not fear the days of Allah that He may reward a people for what they earn. |

Say thou Unto those who believe, let them forgive those who hope not for the days of Allah, that He may requite a community for that which they have been earning. |

Tell the believers to ignore those who do not believe in the coming of the days of God. He will requite people for what they have done. |

If any one does a righteous deed, it ensures to the benefit of his own soul; if he does evil, it works against (his own soul). In the end will ye (all) be brought back to your Lord. |
Saheeh International |
Whoever does a good deed - it is for himself; and whoever does evil - it is against the self. Then to your Lord you will be returned. |
Shakir |
Whoever does good, it is for his own soul, and whoever does evil, it is against himself; then you shall be brought back to your-- Lord. |

Whosoever worketh righteously, worketh for himself; and whosoever doth evil, doth against himself; then Unto your Lord ye will be made to return. |

Whoever does what is just and right, does so for his own good; and whoever does evil, does so to his own detriment, and you shall all return to your Lord. |

We did aforetime grant to the Children of Israel the Book the Power of Command, and Prophethood; We gave them, for Sustenance, things good and pure; and We favoured them above the nations. |

And We did certainly give the Children of Israel the Scripture and judgement and prophethood, and We provided them with good things and preferred them over the worlds. |

And certainly We gave the Book and the wisdom and the prophecy to the children of Israel, and We gave them of the goodly things, and We made them excel the nations. |

And assuredly. We vouchsafed Unto the Children of Israil the Book and the wisdom and the propherhood, and We provided them with good things and preferred them above the worlds. |

We gave Scriptures, wisdom and prophethood to the Children of Israel, and provided them with good things and favoured them over all other people. |

waataynahum bayyinatin mina alamri fama ikhtalafoo illa min baAAdi ma jaahumu alAAilmu baghyan baynahum inna rabbaka yaqdee baynahum yawma alqiyamati feema kanoo feehi yakhtalifoona |

And We granted them Clear Signs in affairs (of Religion): it was only after knowledge had been granted to them that they fell into schisms, through insolent envy among themselves. Verily thy Lord will judge between them on the Day of Judgment as to those matters in which they set up differences. |

And We gave them clear proofs of the matter [of religion]. And they did not differ except after knowledge had come to them - out of jealous animosity between themselves. Indeed, your Lord will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning that over which they used to differ. |
Shakir |
And We gave them clear arguments in the affair, but they did not differ until after knowledge had come to them out of envy among themselves; surely your -Lord will judge between them on the day of resurrection concerning that wherein they differed. |

And We vouchsafed Unto them evidences of the affair. And they differed not except after the knowledge had come Unto them, through spite among themselves. Verily thy Lord will decide between them on the DaY of Judgment concerning that wherein they have been differing. |

We gave them clear arguments in matters [of religion]. It was only after knowledge came to them that they differed among themselves out of mutual rivalry. On the Day of Resurrection your Lord will judge between them regarding their differences. |

thumma jaAAalnaka AAala shareeAAatin mina alamri faittabiAAha wala tattabiAA ahwaa allatheena la yaAAlamoona |

Then We put thee on the (right) Way of Religion: so follow thou that (Way), and follow not the desires of those who know not. |
Saheeh International |
Then We put you, [O Muhammad], on an ordained way concerning the matter [of religion]; so follow it and do not follow the inclinations of those who do not know. |

Then We have made you follow a course in the affair, therefore follow it, and do not follow the low desires of those who do not know. |
Daryabadi |
And thereafter We have placed thee upon the law of the religion; so follow it thou, and follow not the vain desires of those who know not. |

Then We set you on a clear path [of religion]: so follow it, and do not yield to the desires of those who have no knowledge. |

ﮥ ﮦ ﮧ ﮨ ﮩ ﮪ ﮫﮬ ﮭ ﮮ ﮯ ﮰ ﮱﯓ ﯔ ﯕ ﯖﯗ

innahum lan yughnoo AAanka mina allahi shayan wainna alththalimeena baAAduhum awliyao baAAdin waallahu waliyyu almuttaqeena |

They will be of no use to thee in the sight of Allah: it is only Wrong-doers (that stand as) protectors, one to another: but Allah is the Protector of the Righteous. |
Saheeh International |
Indeed, they will never avail you against Allah at all. And indeed, the wrongdoers are allies of one another; but Allah is the protector of the righteous. |
Shakir |
Surely they shall not avail you in the least against Allah; and surely the unjust are friends of each other, and Allah is the guardian of those who guard (against evil). |
Daryabadi |
Verily they cannot avail thee at all against Allah. And verily the wrong doers! friends are they one Unto another. And Allah is the Friend of the God-fearing. |

They can be of no avail to you against God. The wrongdoers are friends of one another, while the friend of the righteous is God. |

These are clear evidences to men and a Guidance and Mercy to those of assured Faith. |

This [Qur'an] is enlightenment for mankind and guidance and mercy for a people who are certain [in faith]. |

These are clear proofs for men, and a guidance and a mercy for a people who are sure. |

This Book is an enlightenment Unto mankind and a guidance, and a mercy Unto a People who are convinced. |

This [Book] brings enlightenment and guidance to mankind, and is a blessing for those who have firm faith. |

am hasiba allatheena ijtarahoo alssayyiati an najAAalahum kaallatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati sawaan mahyahum wamamatuhum saa ma yahkumoona |

What! Do those who seek after evil ways think that We shall hold them equal with those who believe and do righteous deeds,- that equal will be their life and their death? Ill is the judgment that they make. |
Saheeh International |
Or do those who commit evils think We will make them like those who have believed and done righteous deeds - [make them] equal in their life and their death? Evil is that which they judge. |
Shakir |
Nay! do those who have wrought evil deeds think that We will make them like those who believe and do good-- that their life and their death shall be equal? Evil it is that they judge. |
Daryabadi |
Deem those who commit ill deeds that We shall make them as those who believe and work righteous Works? Equal is their life and their death! How ill they judge! |
Wahiduddin Khan |
Do those who commit evil deeds imagine that We shall deal with them in the same way as We deal with those who have attained to faith and do righteous deeds, that they will be alike in their living and their dying? How badly they judge! |

Allah created the heavens and the earth for just ends, and in order that each soul may find the recompense of what it has earned, and none of them be wronged. |

And Allah created the heavens and earth in truth and so that every soul may be recompensed for what it has earned, and they will not be wronged. |

And Allah created the heavens and the earth with truth and that every soul may be rewarded for what it has earned and they shall not be wronged. |
