Blessed is He who sent down the criterion to His servant, that it may be an admonition to all creatures;- |

Blessed is He who sent down the Criterion upon His Servant that he may be to the worlds a warner - |

Blessed is He Who sent down the Furqan upon His servant that he may be a warner to the nations; |

Blest be He who hath revealed the Criterion unto His bondman thathe may be unto the worlds a warner. |

He to whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth: no son has He begotten, nor has He a partner in His dominion: it is He who created all things, and ordered them in due proportions. |

He to whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and who has not taken a son and has not had a partner in dominion and has created each thing and determined it with [precise] determination. |
Shakir |
He, Whose is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and Who did not take to Himself a son, and Who has no associate in the kingdom, and Who created everything, then ordained for it a measure. |
Daryabadi |
He whose is the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and who hath not taken a son, and for whom there is not an associate in the dominion, and who hath created everything, and measured it according to a measurement. |

Sovereign of the heavens and the earth, who has begotten no children and who has no partner in His sovereignty, it is He who has created all things and measured them out precisely. |

waittakhathoo min doonihi alihatan la yakhluqoona shayan wahum yukhlaqoona wala yamlikoona lianfusihim darran wala nafAAan wala yamlikoona mawtan wala hayatan wala nushooran |

Yet have they taken, besides him, gods that can create nothing but are themselves created; that have no control of hurt or good to themselves; nor can they control death nor life nor resurrection. |
Saheeh International |
But they have taken besides Him gods which create nothing, while they are created, and possess not for themselves any harm or benefit and possess not [power to cause] death or life or resurrection. |
Shakir |
And they have taken besides Him gods, who do not create anything while they are themselves created, and they control not for themselves any harm or profit, and they control not death nor life, nor raising (the dead) to life. |
Daryabadi |
And they have taken beside Him gods creating not aught and are themselves created, owning for themselves neither hurt nor benefit, and owning not death nor life nor resurrection. |

Yet they have taken, besides Him, deities who create nothing and are themselves created, and who have no power to harm, or benefit themselves and who control neither death, nor life, nor resurrection. |

waqala allatheena kafaroo in hatha illa ifkun iftarahu waaAAanahu AAalayhi qawmun akharoona faqad jaoo thulman wazooran |

Yusuf Ali |
But the misbelievers say: "Naught is this but a lie which he has forged, and others have helped him at it." In truth it is they who have put forward an iniquity and a falsehood. |
Saheeh International |
And those who disbelieve say, "This [Qur'an] is not except a falsehood he invented, and another people assisted him in it." But they have committed an injustice and a lie. |
Shakir |
And those who disbelieve say: This is nothing but a lie which he has forged, and other people have helped him at it; so indeed they have done injustice and (uttered) a falsehood. |
Daryabadi |
And those who disbelieve, say. this is naught but a falsehood thathe hath fabricated and there have assisted him therein other people. so surelythey have aimed at a wrong and a fraud. |

Those who deny the truth say, ‘This is only a forgery of his own invention in which others have helped him.’ What they say is unjust and false. |

waqaloo asateeru alawwaleena iktatabaha fahiya tumla AAalayhi bukratan waaseelan |

And they say: "Tales of the ancients, which he has caused to be written: and they are dictated before him morning and evening." |

And they say, "Legends of the former peoples which he has written down, and they are dictated to him morning and afternoon." |

And they say: The stories of the ancients-- he has got them written-- so these are read out to him morning and evening. |

And they say: fables of the ancients which he hath had written down, so they are dictated unto him, morning and evening. |

They say, ‘It is just fables of the ancients, which he has had written down. They are dictated to him morning and evening.’ |

Say: "The (Qur'an) was sent down by Him who knows the mystery (that is) in the heavens and the earth: verily He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful." |

Say, [O Muhammad], "It has been revealed by He who knows [every] secret within the heavens and the earth. Indeed, He is ever Forgiving and Merciful." |
Shakir |
Say: He has revealed it Who knows the secret in the heavens and the earth; surely He is ever Forgiving, Merciful. |

Say thou; He hath sent it down Who knoweth the secret of the heavens and the earth; verily He is ever Forgiving, Merciful. |

Say to them, ‘It has been revealed by Him who knows every secret that is in the heavens and on the earth. Truly, He is most forgiving and most merciful.’ |

waqaloo mali hatha alrrasooli yakulu alttaAAama wayamshee fee alaswaqi lawla onzila ilayhi malakun fayakoona maAAahu natheeran |

And they say: "What sort of a messenger is this, who eats food, and walks through the streets? Why has not an angel been sent down to him to give admonition with him? |
Saheeh International |
And they say, "What is this messenger that eats food and walks in the markets? Why was there not sent down to him an angel so he would be with him a warner? |
Shakir |
And they say: What is the matter with this Apostle that he eats food and goes about in the markets; why has not an angel been sent down to him, so that he should have been a warner with him? |

And they say: what aileth this apostle: he eateth food and walketh about the market-places: wherefore is not an angel sent down unto him, so thathe may be along with him a warner ' |

They say, ‘What kind of a messenger is this who eats food and walks about in the market-places? Why has no angel been sent down with him to warn us?’ |

aw yulqa ilayhi kanzun aw takoonu lahu jannatun yakulu minha waqala alththalimoona in tattabiAAoona illa rajulan mashooran |

"Or (Why) has not a treasure been bestowed on him, or why has he (not) a garden for enjoyment?" The wicked say: "Ye follow none other than a man bewitched." |
Saheeh International |
Or [why is not] a treasure presented to him [from heaven], or does he [not] have a garden from which he eats?" And the wrongdoers say, "You follow not but a man affected by magic." |
Shakir |
Or (why is not) a treasure sent down to him, or he is made to have a garden from which he should eat? And the unjust say: You do not follow any but a man deprived of reason. |
Daryabadi |
Or, whereforeis not there cast down unto him a treasure or he has a garden whereof he may eat! And the wrong-doeray: ye follow only a man bewitched. |
Wahiduddin Khan |
Or a treasure should have been sent down to him, or he should have had a garden from which to eat.’ The wrongdoers say, ‘You are surely following a man who is bewitched.’ |

See what kinds of comparisons they make for thee! But they have gone astray, and never a way will they be able to find! |

Look how they strike for you comparisons; but they have strayed, so they cannot [find] a way. |

See what likenesses do they apply to you, so they have gone astray, therefore they shall not be able to find a way. |
Daryabadi |
Behold how they propound similitudes for thee! so they have strayed and cannot find a way. |
Wahiduddin Khan |
Observe what kind of things they attribute to you. They have surely gone astray and cannot find the right way again. |

Blessed is He who, if that were His will, could give thee better (things) than those,- Gardens beneath which rivers flow; and He could give thee palaces (secure to dwell in). |

Blessed is He who, if He willed, could have made for you [something] better than that - gardens beneath which rivers flow - and could make for you palaces. |
Shakir |
Blessed is He Who, if He please, will give you what is better than this, gardens beneath which rivers flow, and He will give you palaces. |
Daryabadi |
Blest is He Who, if He willed, shall appoint for them something better than that: gardens whereunder the rivers flow, and appoint for them palaces. |

Blessed is He who, if He please, can give you better things than that; gardens watered by flowing streams, and palaces too. |

Nay they deny the hour (of the judgment to come): but We have prepared a blazing fire for such as deny the hour: |

But they have denied the Hour, and We have prepared for those who deny the Hour a Blaze. |

But they reject the hour, and We have prepared a burning fire for him who rejects the hour. |
Daryabadi |
Aye! they belie the Hour; and We have gotten ready for him who belieth the Hour a Flame. |
Wahiduddin Khan |
They deny the Hour. For those who deny that Hour, We have prepared a blazing fire. |
