And what can make you know what is the Striking Calamity? |

Would that you knew what the Clatterer is! |

yawma yakoonu alnnasu kaalfarashi almabthoothi |

(It is) a Day whereon men will be like moths scattered about, |

It is the Day when people will be like moths, dispersed, |

The day on which men shall be as scattered moths, |

And the mountains will be like carded wool. |

And the mountains will be like wool, fluffed up. |

And the mountains shall be as loosened wool. |

And the mountains shall become as wool carded, |

and the mount-ains like tufts of carded wool. |

faamma man thaqulat mawazeenuhu |

Then, he whose balance (of good deeds) will be (found) heavy, |

Then as for one whose scales are heavy [with good deeds], |

Then as for him whose measure of good deeds is heavy, |

Then as for him whose balances are heavy, |

Then, the one whose good deeds weigh heavy on the scales, |

Will be in a life of good pleasure and satisfaction. |

He will be in a pleasant life. |

He shall be in a lifewell-pleasing. |
